The Dispatch
cycle

01 / Four gears, one machine

A trade becomes an operation when four things turn together, in order. Dispatch is one day on all four.

01

Marketing

Fill the board

The right calls in the door at a cost that makes sense. Not more leads — better ones, and knowing to the dollar what each one costs you.

02

Sales

Close at your number

What happens in the driveway. Presenting options, handling the price objection, and booking the job without discounting to be liked.

03

Operations

Stop the leaks

The board, the callbacks, the jobs that die between dispatch and the driveway. The systems that hold when you're not the one watching.

04

Profit

Keep what's left

Pricing to profit instead of habit, reading your own books, and finding the jobs you're proud of that are quietly losing money.

Marketing → Sales → Operations → Profit → and back to marketing. Break one gear and the other three can't cover for it. That's why the day runs in this order.

the money?

02 / Why this day

You're great at the trade. Nobody warns you that a trade and a business are two different jobs — and that growing one can leave you broker than when you had two trucks.

You added trucks. You added techs. You're running numbers you wouldn't have believed three years ago. And you still open the banking app on Friday and feel sick.

That gap always has a cause, and it's never one thing. It's marketing buying the wrong calls. Sales discounting to be liked. Operations leaking jobs between the phone ringing and the truck rolling. And pricing that hasn't moved since you were the one running the calls.

Four gears. When one slips, the machine still turns — just not for you. More leads won't fix it; pour more calls on a shop that leaks and you leak faster. This is a day on the whole machine, taught by four people who fixed one gear each in their own shop, with their own money on the line.

Plumbing, HVAC, and restoration in the same room on purpose. Bring your manager, your CSR, your best tech. What changes on Monday changes because the person doing the work heard it too.

03 / No. 01 lineup

One speaker per gear. Nobody on this stage is here to talk about a business they read about — they each fixed one piece of this in their own shop, with their own money on the line.

What you'll actually hear
If the money keeps disappearing, it isn't a sales problem. It's a pricing problem you can't see yet.

The job is won or lost in the driveway, in the first five minutes. Everything after that is just cleanup.

I didn't sell a busy shop. I sold one that ran without me in every truck. That's the whole game.

Partners

05 / On the floor

One stage partner. Four tents on the outdoor floor.

The outdoor area is where lunch, the raffle, and the actual networking happen, so that's where the tents go. Category exclusivity is available, and once a lane is taken it's closed. Partners can buy a single stop or the full run.
